This is the Torii table, inspired by the form of traditional Japanese Torii gates, whichsymbolise the transition from the mundane to the sacred. Thoughtfully constructed fromTasmanian Blackwood, complimented by Ipe wedges and drawer pull. Traditional joinery techniques were used including through wedged mortise and tenons and a traditional drawer construction with hand cut dovetails.
